Promenade AR - History of Commerce in the Unesco area
The tour in the upper town of Luxembourg touches buildings and business premises that used to exist, and are still partly designated as business premises today. With the help of a newly developed app, the scan of the building makes it possible to reproduce an image of what the building looked like at its beginnings. Unfortunately, the first part of the circular route is not accessible for PMR because the gradient in the old town towards Grund, near the St. Michael Church, is too big .
Thus, the circular route only begins at house number 6 in Fleischergasse.
The tour is located in the traffic-calmed zone of the upper town, the surface is apart from some short cobblestone passages smooth asphalted or covered with large tiles.
Rest areas are available in sufficient numbers. The nearby toilet at the 'Cercle Municipale' is unfortunately not suitable for wheelchair users.
